Private Residence
Maison Lisière
Provence, France2025
Concept studies, visualised with AI. None of these rooms has been built.
A nineteenth-century mas held beautiful bones beneath decades of additions. We pared it back to a single, legible idea: rooms that breathe with the orchard around them.
Concept
We treated the house as a series of thresholds — each room a measured pause between the garden and the hearth. Material restraint does the work that ornament once did.
Material
Lime plaster, untreated oak, aged brass, and local stone. Nothing sealed in plastic; everything left to age honestly with the building.
Light
Openings were re-proportioned to track the sun across the day, so the interior never needs to announce itself — the light does.
